Job Purpose:
Expanding the product through continual improvement of existing functionality, custom coding projects for clients and development of new features utilizing current and emerging client and Server Side technologies.
Job Skills:
· 4+ years PHP
· 4+ years HTML, Javascript, CSS
· 4+ years SQL (MySQL and/or PostgreSQL)
· 2+ years XML
· 3+ years Linux
· Hands on with CMS
· Strong communication & interpersonal skills
· Web Security Concepts (Nice to have)
· Object Oriented Programming Experience.
· Intuitive knowledge of database structures and systems.
· Proficiency with troubleshooting and problem solving.
· Excellent written communication skills.
· FTP and SSH on Unix/Linux systems.
· Must Be HTML fluent and able to hand code without the use of a WYSIWYG.
Job Description:
1. Expanding the product through continual improvement of existing functionality, custom coding projects for clients and development of new features utilizing current and emerging client and Server Side technologies.
2. Verify that system meets performance criteria.
3. Work closely with Team Leader/Project manager as well as the users.
4. Design and code, develop test data, test and debug programs.
5. Document all procedures utilized by programs, evaluate and/or modify computer programs.
6. Provide assistance to users on how to use computing facilities or assist users with procedural or minor technical problems.
7. Constantly updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications.
8. Works on development projects of varying sizes (days to months) and may have simultaneous projects. Ability to manage time and communicate progress, completion estimates, and needs.
9. Takes ownership and pride in developing projects according to specifications, with quality, on-time, and with good documentation and code-commenting.
10. Well-formatted code.
11. Ability and willingness to train and support users of online tools and CMS.
12. Ability to deal professionally with interruptions and changes in priority of projects.
13. Willingness to be on an on-call rotation.
